Every year America comes together to remember the hot, 4th day of July, 1776 when the members of the Continental Congress signed the Declaration of Independence. Its that time of year again; grab your red, white and blue, for the Independence Day Parade and Celebration in Caldwell, Idaho! The parade offers all sorts of entertainment including live music, food and vendors, family activities, and a car show!
The parade will begin at Memorial Park and complete a circle following Kimball, Dearborn Street, 18th Avenue, and Everett Street. Be there at 10:00 A.M. sharp to see all of the floats! The opening ceremony will occur at 11:30 A.M, and the Gold Star Mothers Ceremony will take place from 12:00-4:00 P.M.
Bring your children while you help celebrate our country’s independence. They will love the kid zone, dunk tank, and wet zone! Don’t forget to dress your home in your most patriotic decorations because there is a best costume competition! Applications are accepted until June 30th and can be found on the City of Caldwell website. Lastly, be sure to extend your stay until dusk so that you won’t miss out on the fireworks show!
